Everything becomes grist for life's mill. The millstone prepares the kernels of daily experience for conversion to our daily bread. Thus we obtain nourishment for our souls and spirits, and if we are prudent, a surplus remains to share with others. Realistically, however, there comes also a bit of grit in the process. Wisdom comes from discerning the difference.
Today it's blowing east-to-west through the Columbia Gorge 25 to 40 MPH with gusts to 50+ and the temperature is about 20 degrees now and dropping toward tonight.

My mind is mostly made up and some folk think I have too many opinions and preferences. Still, I cherished my precious wife, and shared with her three awesome kids who have wonderful spouses of thei own. Our seven grandkids are the world's finest. Thank you, Lord.

Your youngest granddaughter just got a kite for a late birthday gift and she's waiting for a windy day to come fly her kite at Papa's house. She was disappointed there was no wind today.
